10 Lessons from a First Time Entrepreneur

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of speaking to a group of (mostly) first-time entrepreneurs at the Lean Startup Machine in San Diego. I was asked to talk about what our entrepreneurial journey has been like for the past eight years. And while I talk about aspects of our story almost every day in one situation or another, I had never sat down and actually listed out all of the core lessons we’ve learned along the way.

After much thought, I was eventually able to condense a long list down to what I think are the top ten lessons that I’ve learned. I put them into a presentation and embedded it below for you to check out. Whether you are an entrepreneur or not, I hope you find value in some of what we’ve been able to learn along the way. If you do, I hope you’d be so kind as to share it on Facebook and Twitter and let us know what you think in the comments!
