Today I’m excited to share that Forbes has named Classy a “Rising Star” on their first-ever Cloud 100 List—the definitive list of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world.
The “Rising Stars” are recognized as innovative and promising young companies across several different industries, with Classy leading the Nonprofit Technology category. Check out the Forbes article and our official announcement.
Last week, I had the honor of attending the awards dinner in San Francisco alongside some of Classy’s personal favorites, including HubSpot, Squarespace, Zendesk, and MailChimp. It was a great moment to share the spotlight with companies we admire so much and have been inspired by for years. The event was appropriately hosted by Kumail Nanjiani, who plays Dinesh in HBO’s “Silicon Valley” and had a laundry list of jokes to dish out.
As the evening wound down to a close, the top 10 winners were announced (Slack took the number one spot). There was also a shout out to all of the companies that are part of the 1% Pledge. If you haven’t already, read about Classy’s pledge.
It was a fun evening that sparked a lot of reflection. At Classy, we’ve been on a journey for over 10 years to mobilize and empower the world for good, and this Forbes recognition is a phenomenal reminder of just how far we’ve come together. At the same time, as I looked around the room at our peers from other industries, I was reminded of how much there’s still left to do.
This is especially true on the product innovation front. Earlier this year, I wrote a post about how we are raising the bar in 2016 and I’m confident that we’re doing just that. In only the past few months we’ve been able to deliver:
- The New Campaign Designer
- New Crowdfunding
- New Beta Peer-to-Peer
- New email automation
- New Developer Center & API
- New WordPress plugins
…and a lot more.
But we know that we have so much more to accomplish. In addition to rounding out the new Fundraising Suite with an upgraded version of Classy Events, we are laser-focused on our new payments product (Classy Pay), supporter engagement, and impact reporting—and we can’t wait to announce more features soon.
