Grab Your Gear and Come Hike for the Homeless! Safe Haven Family Shelter, along with Hike Co-Chairs Richard Courtney and Kerry Brock, are gearing up for our 15th Annual Hike for the Homeless, a Nashville favorite for its heavy dose of outdoor time, friends, family, food and fun. Help us meet our $150,000 fundraising goal and make this the best Hike ever!


ABOUT THE EVENT:

  • The event includes hiking on two paved trails, food, live music and kid fun zone, dog fun zone, and more! The event is pet and stroller friendly! 
  • The hike will take place at Edwin Warner Park picnic shelters 9 and 11 on Saturday, November 9, 2019. Registration begins at 9 a.m., with hikers hitting the trail at 10 am. 
  • There is no entry fee or minimum donation. Participants are encouraged to create teams, with a fundraising goal of $1,000 per team. Everyone who donates $25 or more will receive one Hike for the Homeless t-shirt. 
  • To sign up for the Hike, click the orange 'Start or Join a Team' button above and follow the prompts. You can also make a donation to sign up to attend.
  • Can't attend the event? You can still make a donation to help us reach our goal!
  • Go to the Hike HQ to download sample social media posts, email text, graphics and flyers.

ABOUT THE HIKE TRAIL:

  • There are two paved trails, great for wheel chairs and strollers. One trail is just under 2 miles and one is around 3.2 miles. There are spots along the trail that you can turn around. Trail guides and signs along the way provide direction.

The event takes place at Edwin Warner Park (picnic shelters 9 & 11). The the turn into the event is off of Vaughn Road. Use this address in your GPS: 86 Vaughn Road, Nashville, TN. Then follow the event signs.

Safe Haven leads our community's efforts to house, support, empower and advocate for families experiencing homelessness. 

The Hike for the Homeless is an opportunity for our donations add up to make a BIG IMPACT, raising more money for Safe Haven than we ever could alone!
