Since we cannot be in person together today, the princesses with the Wishes Foundation provided this storytime to share with your little ones.  

FLYBALL DEMONSTRATION

The flyball demo from Music City Road dogs is a popular activity at the Hike. They sent in a video to show us a flyball event.

The coveted Golden Boot is up for grabs for the team and the individual that raises the most money. Here are some other prizes up for grab: 

BEST HIKE PREPARATION: Post your Hike for Safe Haven preparation routine on Instagram or Facebook. We will select a winner based on creativity, humor and best prep tips. Examples of hike prep may include things like warm up tips, best hiking outfit, coffee to water ratio, stopping by a donut shop, etc. Get creative!

BEST DOG/PET HIKER: Our pets can make the best hike companions. Post your photos and videos, and we will award a prize to one lucky pet hiker.

LONGEST HIKE: Post a photo/video with the distance you hike on Saturday! We will award a prize to the person who hike the farthest. 

LARGEST HIKING GROUP: Are you hiking with a big group? Post your photos and videos with the number of hikers in your group. We will award a prize the largest hiking group. 

PRIZE ELIGIBILITY: To be considered for any of the prizes above, your post must publish on Saturday, November 13, tag Safe Haven and have the hashtag #hikeforsafehaven. Only posts in feeds, reels or IGTV will be considered for prizes. Unfortunately, we cannot see posts from private accounts. Want to make sure we see your post? Message, DM or email us a link to it.

11/11/21 EVENT UPDATE:

Unfortunately, the Hike for Safe Haven event and parking field has been damaged. With rain coming in Thursday, we expect the field conditions to worsen. For the safety of our participants, volunteers, and vendors we have decided to shift to a virtual event.

We invite you to Hike Your Way on a trail, in your neighborhood, or even on a treadmill. Please post your photos on social media and tag Safe Haven. 

The Hike for Safe Haven is a beloved fall event, and the funds raised help us to give more families a place to call home. We appreciate your support and hope you will continue to help us reach our fundraising goal of $150,000.
