Battery Dance Impact in 2023
- Arts education: Our teaching artists lead more than 200 dance workshops and classes for NYC public schools at no cost to students.
Global Community: Battery’s Dancing to Connect workshop reached youth in Germany and Nigeria, as well as recent immigrants in Houston, Texas.
Artistry: Our New York Live Arts debut was a hit with “Battery Dance NOW.”
Access: The free, outdoor 42nd Battery Dance Festival brought 35 dance companies to 10,000 live audience members and 7,700 online viewers.
New York Community: Nearly 300 arts groups used our Tribeca studios, creating work that keeps New York the center of the dance world.
