How To Help

Community Outings $50

Support our members as they take trips into the local community to learn about the world around them and experience new opportunities that might not be available on a regular basis.

Dream $50

The Dream program was created to provide members with opportunities for them to explore their community. Members are encouraged to attend community events, participate in volunteer opportunities, experience different cultures and try new leisure pursuits.

Employment and Training Services $50

Employment and Training Services Department promotes employment opportunities by providing job development and placement, job training, and job coaching.

General STEP Programs/Services $50

We support members by providing them with a well-rounded learning experience, including self advocacy, independent living skills, money handling, American Sign Language and foreign languages. We also get people moving with physical activities such as Zumba, basketball, and chair exercise.

Progressive Art Studio Collective (PASC) $50

PASC supports artists with developmental disabilities and mental health differences to advance independent artistic practices and build individual career paths in the art and design fields.

What's Cooking at STEP $50

STEP’s culinary arts classes helps prepare members for careers in the food service industry by learning food safety, customer service, and preparing delicious dishes.

About the Campaign

At STEP, we are all about Changing Lives One STEP at a Time. From Supportive Employment, Transition Services, Engagement in the Community and Programming we strive to provide our members served with the services and support that impact their evreyday lives. 


Services To Enhance Potential (STEP) is a non-profit organization that provides support and services to more than 1,400 individuals with disabilities and mental health needs residing in Macomb, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties. STEP helps individuals with barriers to employment reach their full potential and achieve their life goals through various programs and trainings. These include skill building, supported employment, volunteer opportunities, vocational rehabilitation, and more. With offerings like the Progressive Art Studio Collective (PASC), What’s Cooking at STEP, and training at our three STEP Thrift Store and Donation Centers, STEP offers opportunities to individuals of all abilities.
