Join Us in Our Efforts to Provide Access for All

The YMCA Annual Campaign is a yearly fundraising effort that allows us to fully realize our mission, especially as it relates to the last two words: “for all.”

The Y recognizes the importance of financial accessibility and is determined to make membership and program fees affordable for everyone in our community. This annual fundraising initiative serves as the backbone of our philanthropic efforts by securing charitable gifts from the YMCA community to ensure our programs and services remain accessible.

We are one of Washtenaw County’s leading non-profits, acting as a catalyst to transform lives and community. In 2024, the Y provided over $500,000 in support, services, and program subsidies to kids and families-in-need in Washtenaw County and southern Livingston County. Investing in people of all ages and backgrounds, particularly those who are farthest from opportunity, is key to advancing equity and justice while building whole-person health for all.

Help Children Learn, Grow and Thrive $500

Fundraise to support scholarships to the Y's full and half-day child development programs that guide children through an age-appropriate curriculum that instill the Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility under the guidance of caring adults.

Help Kids Stay Safe in the Water $100

Fundraise to support YMCA lifeguards, instructors, materials, and transportation costs for a one week session of the Safety Around Water program. Help children receive scholarships to for aquatics programming throughout Washtenaw County. In 2024, 659 youth participated free swim safety programs at the Ann Arbor Y. Add swim lessons

Help Kids Experience the Magic of Camp AGQ $500

AGQ offers a traditional overnight camp experience for campers ages 8-16. Campers bunk in semi-rustic cabins with role model counselors who facilitate a transformative camp experience focused on youth development principles.

Help Adults Manage and Prevent Disease $250

Fundraise to support a cancer survivor’s participation in the free twelve-week long LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA program or to help a person suffering from Parkinson's Disease ease their symptoms with the Y's Pedaling for Parkinson's program. In 2024, 105 people participated in the Y's Health Management programs.

Help Kids and Adults Stay Active Through Sport $250

Fundraise to support financial assistance for youth and adult sports programs through the Ann Arbor YMCA, including baseball, T-ball, basketball, soccer, flag football, futsal, volleyball, and pickleball. In 2018, 1,983 individuals participate in Y Sports.

Enrich the Life of a Child by Sending Them to Day Camp $500

We are committed to providing youth with a positive and nurturing environment that prioritizes safety and building healthy relationships with their peers and counselors. Our well-rounded summer day camp programs are rooted in the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility while being intentional about fostering friendships, a sense of accomplishment, and belonging for all. Campers can choose from four locations: Treetown (downtown Ann Arbor), Greenhills, New Heights (Ypsilanti) or our outdoor camp, Camp Birkett (Silver Lake in Pinckney).

Bring Sports Out to the Community $100

Y on the Fly brings the Y to the community! Trained coaches offer games, activities and healthy snacks to children between the ages of 5-13 in neighborhoods, parks, churches, schools, and beyond. Look for the Y van loaded with sports equipment, parachutes, nets, hula hoops, jump ropes, games, sidewalk chalk and other fun activities.
