About the Campaign
The Ronald McDonald House of South Florida (RMH) houses the families of children who undergo treatment at nearby hospitals. Many of the families residing at the RMH cannot afford short or long-term housing during their child’s treatment and need to stay nearby until treatments are complete, which could last weeks or even months.
The Little Lighthouse Foundation provides dinners to these families multiple times a month. Volunteers arrive to the RMH and travel upstairs to the kitchen where meals are prepared and distributed. Once an announcement alerts the families that “dinner is served”, volunteers spend time distributing meals, entertaining attendees, and participating in activities with children.
