It's a Wrap!
Animals & Architecture has ended today, October 15. Our first online version of this annual fundraiser has been a huge success. Heartfelt thanks from all of us at Animal Protection of New Mexico to everyone who pitched in and made this event so successful. Big virtual hugs to those who donated, sponsored, lent their voices, and shared our messages.
And now....the winners! Watch the video below to see who the lucky winners of our prize drawings are.
This year, Animals & Architecture is not only about protecting animals...it’s also about protecting you by taking place online. You can ‘attend’ from the safety and comfort of home. APNM's work to protect all animals spans nine programs that focus on making ‘humane’ the new normal in New Mexico. Support us as we challenge animal cruelty wherever it is happening in our state, and regardless of the type of animal being harmed—companion animals, wildlife, captive chimpanzees, farmed animals all need our help.
Fuel our effective and hard-hitting work to change entrenched practices and policies that cause tremendous harm to native wildlife and make our public lands dangerous for recreation and visitors. Your support will bring us closer to the time when coexistence is the norm, and traps, snares, and poisons are finally banned from our public lands.
All of APNM’s programs share a common thread: animals deserve to be respected and protected. With your support, we provide resources where they are needed, making it easier for people to make kind choices and proving that humane communities are strong and healthy communities.
The ongoing pandemic has proven how devastating disasters can be for animals and their families. Help us ensure crucial services like feed assistance and veterinary care are available statewide for horses, mules, and donkeys, so they can stay in their homes and not be vulnerable to killer-buyers.
There is a well-established link between domestic violence and animal abuse/neglect. Help APNM’s Companion Animal Rescue Effort (CARE) maintain a strong statewide network of resources and support for victims and their cherished animals, so they can start a new life away from their abuser.
The global pandemic has had a seismic impact on the education system. But our humane education courses, loved by teachers, parents, and students alike, have adjusted to the new normal and pivoted to delivering video versions in place of classroom lessons. Support our efforts to get these video courses produced and distributed, and help us create a kinder future.
Challenging Animal Cruelty - APNM's powerful approach to challenging animal cruelty begins with our operation of the Animal Cruelty Hotline.
