Ariel Memorial WOD 24 has raised $14,859 out of their goal of $10,000
About the Event.
On May 11, 2024, CrossFit A.I.M. and the Fianna Foundation will present the 5th Annual Ariel Memorial WOD. Help honor Ariel's legacy and fight childhood cancer.
On the day of the event, CrossFit A.I.M. will open its doors to members and guests alike to participate and help raise money to support childhood cancer research. This event is co-hosted by Fianna Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to improving treatments for childhood cancer. All proceeds will benefit the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, Pediatric Cancer Research. In the last two years, we have raised almost $40,000 for childhood cancer research through our WOD!
Anyone can participate, regardless of age or ability level. Every participant who signs up before May 1 will receive an Ariel WOD bracelet and t-shirt! We are requesting a $35 tax-deductible donation for each PARTICIPANT registering for the event.
If you are unable to attend the WOD event in person, you are welcome to sign up as a SUPPORTER with a donation of $25 or more. You will not receive the t-shirt as a supporter. Instead, the entire amount of your tax-deductible donation will go towards childhood cancer research.
Workout times will kick off at 7:30 am on May 11. A donation receipt and the link to sign-up for a workout slot will be sent via e-mail after your donation is received.

About Ariel.
Ariel Silvaggio was only 5 years old when she was first diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She fought through several rounds of chemotherapy, countless blood transfusions, two rounds of CAR-T therapy, and a bone marrow transplant.
On January 8, 2020, just two and a half years after her diagnosis, sweet Ariel passed away. She was only 7 years old.
The Ariel Memorial WOD is a way to honor Ariel's legacy while fighting childhood cancer. It is held every year in May, since Ariel's birthday was May 11.
Childhood cancer is a serious disease. It remains the number one disease killer of children in the United States today.
Every day, 47 kids are diagnosed with cancer in the United States. One in five of them will not survive.
