Barclays Veteran Hope Pack Virtual Volunteer Event

3:30pm - 4:00pm EST / 12:30pm - 1:00pm PT
In partnership with Jersey Cares, a nonprofit organization that creates and manages volunteer opportunities, Barclays employees are invited to create Veteran Hope Packs benefitting veterans experiencing homelessness in New Jersey.
During this volunteer event, Barclays employees will write a card to a veteran to thank them for their service, decorate a canvas bags with American themed designs, and create a USA keychain. Jersey Cares will fill completed Veteran Hope Packs with essential items for veterans experiencing homelessness.
Veteran Hope Pack materials will be shipped to participants in advance of the event date. All participants must provide their home address to recieve the materials.
The Veteran Hope Packs will be donated to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1302 in Kearny, NJ. The Kearny VFW Post 1302 is a Veterans organization honoring and supporting Veterans and their families in the Hudson County, NJ community.
Important Dates
Wednesday, November 2nd: Registration will close at 5:30pm EST.
November 7th - 14th: Volunteers will receive a USPS package with all necessary materials.
Tuesday, November 15th: Jersey Cares will host a virtual session to give Veterans Hope Pack instructions.
Tuesday, November 22nd: Volunteers will mail materials back to Jersey Cares using the pre-paid shipping label provided.
When all completed materials are returned, Jersey Cares will send completed Veteran Hope Packs to Kearny VFW Post 1302.
Note: While Jersey Cares is headquartered in New Jersey, projects are virtual and designed for all Barclays US-based employees.

4. Provide your name, email, and address. Click 'Next'.
5. An optional donation page for Jersey Cares will appear.
6. Complete form and click 'Purchase'
