About the Campaign
Help us reach $30,000 by recruiting 100 monthly recurring donors of $25 a month!
Despite being a state that wears its progressive values like a badge of honor, California continuously fails its Black residents. BlackECE is here to fill a void for California’s 5 million Black people.
We demand liberation.
We center Black children, families and child care educators, celebrating their joy and brilliance, while pushing back against the systems that are built to hold us down. In celebration of Juneteenth, we are raising important funds that will keep our work moving forward. You see, a critical mission without the resources to see it come to fruition is just another promise unfilled.
And, as we all know, the Black community has had enough of that! Unrestricted dollars allow US to address anti-Blackness in its structures while also investing in, affirming and advancing the cultural assets of our people. We know what needs to be done, we just need the means to make it happen. While Juneteenth is the day signifying “freedom” for African Americans due to the legal abolition of slavery, true liberation for the Black community has never been fully realized in this country. This is why the theme for this campaign is Liberation Now! Yesterday is already too late and tomorrow is not soon enough!
As a trusted supporter and friend, please take it a step further by becoming an accomplice in this work. Join us for our Juneteenth Campaign for Liberation, kicking off on June 1 and ending on at the end of the month (June 30). We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by recruiting 100 monthly recurring donors of $25 a month. This will help BlackECE to expand the reach of our influence in 2024 and give a clear, undeniable voice to our children and those who love them.
