About Brooke and Mike's Ministry

After more than two decades of ministry with students and young adults, Brooke and Mike are stepping into an exciting new season of calling. In 2025, they will transition to serve at Baylor University, where they will help equip the next generation of ministers to serve Christ across the nation and around the world.

As part of their expanded role, Brooke and Mike will develop an international mentorship and exchange program designed to give students real-world ministry experience both in the U.S. and in cross-cultural settings abroad.

Even as they step into this new U.S.-based role, their ministry in Indonesia continues, led by local staff and partners, and made possible by the faithful prayers and generous support of people like you. Brooke and Mike’s work in Indonesia includes partnerships with Baylor University, Immanuel Christian University, the Indonesian Consortium for Religious Studies, and numerous Christian and Islamic schools, seminaries, and congregations. These partnerships serve to reach university students, help train pastors and lay leaders, strengthen theological education, support children’s reading programs, and promote peacebuilding and religious literacy.

As Baylor leans into its Pro Mundo (“for the world”) initiative, Brooke and Mike will help to connect students with meaningful service opportunities in Indonesia and the wider Muslim-majority world through programs like CBF’s Student Serve, offering both summer and semester-long international placements.

One important component of the work in Indonesia that will continue is the partnership with a local Christian university to install solar lighting systems in rural churches far from the electricity grid. These lights do more than brighten buildings, they transform lives:

  • One church has more than doubled in size since receiving a lighting system.

  • A pastor shared how she now has time during the day to be present with her children because she can now write her sermons after dark.

  • A young boy, encouraged by the team, studied by solar light, passed his national exams, and is now training to be a pastor.

  • A congregation reported an increase in family income because women can gather to weave at night.

These are just a few examples showing how your giving empowers local communities, bringing light, education, and hope. Your support provides ministry space for students, equips pastors, strengthens churches, nurtures future leaders, and builds bridges of peace in areas where the gospel is lived out through presence and service.

Would you prayerfully consider partnering with Brooke and Mike in this new chapter? Your monthly gift will help sustain ongoing ministry in Indonesia and invest in the next generation of ministers at home and around the world.

Together, we can continue to send light, both solar and spiritual, to the ends of the earth.
