About the Campaign

The "Build Local" capital campaign is a pioneering initiative launched by

The Cupcake Girls aimed at establishing a comprehensive resource center and offices tailored specifically for sex trafficking survivors and marginalized sex workers within our community. This project endeavors to provide a holistic support system, encompassing various essential services and resources to empower individuals who have been affected by these challenging circumstances.

The core objectives of the "Build Local" capital campaign include:

1. Establishment of a Resource Center: The campaign seeks to create a dedicated physical space that serves as a central hub for survivors and marginalized individuals to access a wide range of critical resources and support services. This center will serve as a safe and welcoming environment, designed to foster healing, empowerment, and community connection.

2. Holistic Support Services: Through the "Build Local" initiative,

The Cupcake Girls aim to provide a comprehensive array of support services tailored to the unique needs of survivors and marginalized sex workers. These services may include but are not limited to counseling, legal assistance, healthcare access, vocational training, educational opportunities, and housing support.

3. Community Outreach and Education: The campaign will prioritize community outreach efforts to raise awareness about the issues faced by sex trafficking survivors and marginalized sex workers. By promoting education and advocacy initiatives, the project aims to challenge stigmas, dispel misconceptions, and foster greater empathy and understanding within the broader community.

4. Collaborative Partnerships: The Cupcake Girls recognizes the importance of collaboration and partnership within the community. The “Build Local” campaign will work closely with local organizations, government agencies, businesses, and volunteers to maximize impact, leverage resources, and ensure a coordinated approach to supporting survivors and marginalized individuals.

5. Sustainable Funding: Sustainable funding mechanisms will be established to ensure the long-term viability and success of the resource center. This may involve fundraising events, grant applications, corporate sponsorships, individual donations, and other innovative financing strategies.

Overall, the "Build Local" capital campaign embodies a commitment to social justice, empowerment, and inclusivity. By providing a comprehensive resource center and support network, The Cupcake Girls aspire to create a brighter future for sex trafficking survivors and marginalized sex workers, enabling them to reclaim agency, rebuild their lives, and thrive within our community.
