CARES Basic Needs Student Fund
Our students are facing an overwhelming amount of uncertainty as they continue to persevere and pursue their degrees.
At the CARES Center, we help connect students to essential resources including food, housing, finances and mental health services. We know that for students to be successful inside the classroom, they need to have their basic needs met outside of the classroom.
Virginia Addicott, '85, MBA '95, has generously pledged $2,500 to match all gifts to the CARES Basic Needs Student Fund.
This fund was created to provide critical support to our students who are facing basic need challenges and emergencies such as homelessness and housing and food insecurity. Your gift will help support students' needs by providing emergency funding for food, shelter, mental health support and unexpected financial hardships, so that our students can focus their energy on academics.
Your $25 gift becomes $50; $50 becomes $100!
Show your support for our students when they need it the most.
(The CARES Basic Needs Student Fund will also receive a $500 bonus participation boost from the Kent State University Foundation for every 25 unique donors who contribute $25+ to this fund during Giving Tuesday.)
