11,000 people have been evacuated from the island of Ambae as the volcano erupted. This is a crisis situation for everyone, not only those who fled their homes but to the other islands like Santo who have taken them in.
In May, The Waterbearers co-founder Spryte Loriano led a trip to NZ and Vanuatu to deliver clean water. Shelley Darling was a leader on the NZ trip.
