Emmanuel McCall
Racial Equity Fund

We've moved to Phase Two. Please give here.

About the Racial Equity Fund

The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, in partnership with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Foundation, is excited to announce that we have exceeded our Phase One goal for the Emmanuel McCall Racial Equity Fund! Thank you for your incredible support, which has laid a strong foundation for our ongoing work in fostering racial justice and reconciliation.

As we transition into Phase Two, we are building on the momentum of these efforts to expand our impact and deepen our commitment to racial equity.

Phase Two Goal

Our goal for Phase Two is to raise $150,000. Your contribution will allow us to achieve the following during this phase:

  • Develop additional educational resources to inspire, encourage, and equip churches and individuals to take actionable steps toward racial justice.
  • Create immersive racial justice experiences that foster a deeper understanding of systemic inequities and promote healing.
  • Establish a certificate program to train leaders and congregations in racial justice and reconciliation work.
  • Continue to facilitate partnerships and relationship-building among racially diverse congregations, fostering dialogue, understanding, and shared mission.

Honoring Rev. Dr. Emmanuel McCall

This fund is named in honor of the Rev. Dr. Emmanuel McCall, a trailblazer in racial justice who has dedicated his life to advancing reconciliation as a student, denominational leader, pastor, author, and scholar.

The Impact of Your Support

Your generosity has already made a significant difference, enabling the launch of impactful initiatives such as:

  • The 2024 McCall Racial Justice Lenten Devotional: A widely utilized resource guiding individuals and congregations in prayerful reflection and actionable steps toward racial justice during the Lenten season.
  • The Narratives of America Project: Introduced at the 2024 CBF General Assembly, this project fosters meaningful dialogue and understanding around race and religion, encouraging communities to envision and work toward a more equitable America.
  • The Pan African Koinonia Racial Justice and Reconciliation Cohort: Launched in South Carolina, this initiative empowers leaders and communities to actively engage in transformative racial justice work, building bridges between racially diverse congregations and fostering reconciliation.

With your continued support, we can achieve our Phase Two goal and continue the transformative work of racial justice and reconciliation. Together, we will continue to build a future where diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the heart of our Fellowship. Thank you for your generosity and commitment to racial justice.
