Explore Austin exists to empower youth through Mentoring, Leadership, and Outdoor Adventure.

What does Explore Austin do with the money raised from the Trailblazer Campaign?

This summer Explore Austin will send 16+ teams across the country to Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado, Wyoming, and Texas. Our program has adapted to circumstances around us, we want you to know that trips for 2020 summer are being altered to support mandated guidelines. For many of our younger Explorers, this is their FIRST trip away from home. We are looking forward to Exloring on together!

The money you raise or donate through the Trailblazer Campaign goes to creating these "firsts" for Explorers which, coupled with our unique adventure curriculum over a six-year period, help build their self-confidence, grit, and potential for success.

Grit Giver $100

Raising $100 for Explorer Austin will fund four Saturday Challenges for one Explorer. Saturday Challenges are where Explorers develop the skills and GRIT they need to attend and thrive during their week-long Summer Wilderness Trip each year.

Mile High Member $250

Raising $250 for Explore Austin will fund one round trip plane ticket for one Explorer. Many of our Explorers experience their first plane ride with Explore Austin and many have fears about flying that with your help, they will be able to overcome.

Confidence Curator $500

Raising $500 for Explore Austin will allow for us to buy gear necessary for every Saturday Challenge and Summer Wilderness Trip. By participating in difficult outdoor activities like rock climbing, mountain biking, canoeing etc. our Explorers build confidence in themselves and each other.

Net Zero Club $1,000

Raising $1,000 for Explore Austin essentially "nets out" the cost of sending one person, both Explorers and Mentors, on an Explore Austin Summer Wilderness Trip. By being a part of the Net Zero Club you are empowering one of our participants to have an adventure of a lifetime.
