Our power is our people. We support our staff to confront bias in all its forms through continuous and ongoing professional development and training. As an educational nonprofit within the larger context of an educational system rooted in white supremacist ideals, we examine practices and policies at all levels of school culture and organization. Helps us to provide a bus to bring our community to Salem to advocate and have their voices heard by our elected officials. As a thought leader and collaborative partner in the movement for racial equity in Oregon, KairosPDX stands on the frontlines of education policy and advocacy.

Our Community Relations staff build trusting relationships with our KairosPDX families and throughout the larger community to provide wraparound support and link arms with partners in the fight for education justice.
Support the expansion of our work $250
We get asked all the time to expand geographically. Our solution is to train others and equip leaders to lead in an equity movement that is grounded in transformational change and rooted in the neuroscience of love and belonging. KairosPDX offers culturally-competent consulting and professional development services cross-sector. We work with school districts, the DOJ, educators and graduate students as well as businesses interested in deepening their equity work.
Cover the cost of breakfast, lunch and snacks for a student for the year. $1,500
Provide healthy meals. Our nutrition team, led by a certified dietician, serves up fresh, nutrient-rich meals that provide our community the nourishment they need to optimize their learning experience. Healthy meals provide a sense of wellbeing and stability for our students and families.
Provide enrichment programming for students. $5,000
Help us provide a 12 week class! Since the inception of KairosPDX, the Community Action Sessions (CAS) program has given children a chance to participate in unique classes that help them to explore their passions and bridge the gap of access for low-income students to extracurricular activities.

Our vision is to engage and empower children and families through a liberating education by which each individual is freed to bring their very best to their own goals and dreams.
