$100 covers the cost of outsourcing our laundry services, ensuring that our guests have safe and clean linens, towels, and clothing.

$250 covers the cost of hiring professional cleaning staff to deep clean the shelter each morning, ensuring that the shelter is safe and healthy for our guests and staff.
Why we need your help!
Last week, Harvard University announced that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was moving to virtual instruction. Y2Y's staff is mostly Harvard students, and this shift means that we need to come up with creative and flexible solutions to keep Y2Y operational.
During this pandemic, our guests are even more vulnerable than usual, and particularly in need of a safe and affirming environment. It would be catastrophic for our guests and the health of the community if Y2Y was not able to stay open.
To ensure the safety of our guests and staff we are already investing in professional cleaning services, outsourcing our laundry and our food preparation, implementing robust containment and social distancing policies, and exploring options for hiring additional professional staff to ensure that the space is secure, safe, and well-maintained.
Right now the stakes are higher than ever. We know that in order to respond to this moment, we need to be courageous.
