Our call to action at Girls Leadership has never been more clear:

  1. Show up for the girls as schools reopen.

  2. See the girls, value them, and shower them with love. (Yes, love.)

  3. Listen to the girls and earn their trust. Learn about what they’ve been through, and what they need.

  4. Partner with the girls to address their needs by forming radically inclusive communities, creating programs, improving teacher education, and proposing changes to the school system.

  5. Evaluate and repeat.

Will you donate today to ensure that we can be there for the girls at this critical time?

With your support, Girls Leadership can show up for girls in Sacramento, Oakland, Brooklyn, the Bronx, and across the U.S. While it is widely known that our teens are experiencing anxiety and depression at unprecedented rates, it is less widely known that girls are diagnosed with depression at more than twice the rate of our boys. Girls Leadership is not only showing up for the girls, we are also showing up for the adults who support and lead girls day in and day out: their teachers. Students are counting on their teachers for connection, to begin the healing process from last year.

We believe that every student deserves to learn in an ecosystem of belonging. In order to have a fighting chance of creating that environment, our teachers need healing, community, and joy.

We believe that every motivated girl who wants to join an afterschool program, and every teacher looking to provide wellness for their students, deserves access to support regardless of income or their school's professional development budget.

We believe that when a girl has the internal skills to respect her thoughts, feelings, and needs, as well as the external support to safely express them, then she has the foundation of leadership, influence and power.

While Girls Leadership continues to create impact girl by girl, we are also now generating impact classroom by classroom, school by school, and even district by district. Please donate today to join us in raising up the wellness, voice and power of a generation.
