Senior Citizen Endowment Matching Campaign has raised $13,905 out of their goal of $16,000
About the Campaign
Low-income seniors are often faced with the harsh challenge of determining which of their basic needs to meet. Will they pay for rent, medication, their medical needs, utilities or their groceries?
HSP's Senior Citizen Project provides a path to healthy eating for impoverished seniors who's monthly incomes (program average $920) makes it impossible to afford nutritious groceries along with their other needs.
HSP is currently running an endowment campaign in order to add an additional senior citizen to this program.
Our friends at Allured Business Media have generously offered to match donations up to $7,500, to this campaign, in order to make this a reality.
The low-income senior will receive a nutritious grocery package every month for life, with no further funding necessary.
Currently, HSP provides 133 low-income seniors a 95-100 lb. grocery package every month.
