The Social Justice Learning Institute (SJLI) is dedicated to improving the education, health, and well-being of youth and communities of color by empowering them to enact social change through research, training, and community mobilization. 

SJLI alters the life trajectories of young students of color by improving academic competencies, self-efficacy, and college readiness using a culturally relevant curriculum and academic support through a social justice lens.

In celebration of our graduating Urban Scholars high school students and our alumni who are completing their college degrees; the Social Justice Learning Institute (SJLI) marks the occasion with a Culmination event. This year, SJLI’s graduating class will gather face-to-face with family members, friends, school faculty, administrators, community members, and special guests to commemorate this milestone.
