Spin to Break the Cycle 2016

About the Campaign

Every child should be free from the fear and influence of gangs, drugs, poverty, and violence. Every child deserves to hope and dream.

On Saturday, April 9th, Spin to Break the Cycle takes over the iconic House of Blues Chicago uniting individuals, corporations and the greater Chicago community as together we help break the cycle of fear and invest in hope so all of Chicago’s youth have the opportunity to dream, succeed and survive.

This high-energy spin (indoor cycling) event raises funds to support World Sport Chicago’s programs that are leveraging the transformative power of sport to provide positive role models and guidance for Chicago’s most at-risk youth. Some of the city’s most recognized personalities, fitness instructors and organizations will enhance the excitement of the day in a spin event like none other.  Join the excitement as together we step up to the bike and make an impact.

DATE:  Saturday, April 9th, 2016
LOCATION:  House of Blues Chicago
TIME:  Doors open at 7:30am.  The First session begins at 8am.  A new workout session begins every hour through 2pm and the event ends at 4:30pm.

THE REWARDS give participants a way to go beyond the satisfaction making a difference and provides an opportunity to earn exciting rewards like airline certificates, sports tickets and exclusive experiences.

TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE AN IMPACT

World Sport Chicago (WSC) is a local 501c(3) non-profit organization that invests in Chicago and in the future of Chicago’s youth. We meet people where they are – in the schools, in the community, in the parks and use the transformative spirit of sport to teach, challenge and unite:

  • PROVIDING POSITIVE ROLE MODELS AND MENTORS to provide guidance and constructive influences;
  • TEACHING VALUABLE LIFE SKILLS like goal setting, accountability, teamwork and respect that help youth cope with and overcome difficult circumstances;
  • and presenting opportunities that are CHALLENGING YOUTH TO NOT ALLOW THEMSELVES TO BE LIMITED BY THEIR CURRENT SITUATION.

There is a power in going through struggle and change together. There is a strength that comes from knowing people believe in you. In stepping up to the bike we are showing Chicago’s youth that they are not alone. We are working together to invest in their future and in their dreams.
