Save a Child's Heart provides life-saving cardiac care to children of all backgrounds, regardless of race, religion, gender or financial status, who suffer from congenital and acquired heart defects and have no access to quality care in their native countries. This care is provided for them free of charge in Israel.

Baruk is a 5-year-old boy from Ethiopia. At 7-months old he was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. Baruk is an energetic boy who loves to play with the toys, his favorite color is blue. When he grows up, Baruk wants to be a teacher.
Precious is a 9-month-old baby girl from Thika, Kenya. At three-months-old, Precious was diagnosed with her heart condition after experiencing difficulty breathing. Precious is an adorable baby who loves shakers and music. Her favorite thing to eat is porridge!
Avita, the first child from Nepal treated by Save a Child's Heart, was born with a congenital heart defect called PDA. Premature, underweight and exhibiting blue baby syndrome, Avita spent her first four months in intensive care at the hospital in Kathmandu.
Shaleen is a 1.5-year-old baby girl from Kurdistan, northern Iraq. Shaleen was diagnosed with heart disease at 3-months old and came to Israel for treatment with her father. When she first arrived, she was shy but she has quickly warmed to the other children and volunteers and enjoys playing outside.
Rahima is a ten-year-old girl from Jimma, Ethiopia. When Rahima was two-years-old, she was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease. Rahima is a very smiley girl who loves watching television. When she grows up her dream is to be a doctor!
Ayub is a 1.5-year-old boy from Jimma, Ethiopia. At eight-months-old, Ayub was diagnosed with his heart condition. Ayub is the youngest of his family; he has two brothers, ages four and five. Ayub is a happy little boy who loves to eat!
Shifa is a 2-year-old baby girl from Kurdistan, northern Iraq. Shifa was diagnosed with heart disease right after birth at a hospital that is located five minutes from her home. When Shifa was born, doctors also diagnosed her with Down syndrome. Shifa is a very happy baby who loves music and kicking her feet to the beat of a song!
