Your Donation Supports "Feeding Fido"

A PIN Youth Ambassador Project

The Pets In Need teen ambassadors have partnered with Project Open Paw to support pets living in homeless encampments. Here's how your gift makes a difference!

Feed a dog or cat for one week $25

Paul feeds the animals high-quality food to help reduce health issues down the line. On average, he feeds 70 animals each week and relies on donations like yours to continue!

Donate

Pay for vaccinations for one animal $50

Paul provides vital vaccines for the dogs and cats in the encampments he visits. For puppies especially, parvovirus vaccinations could mean the difference between life or death for entire litters.

Donate

Cover the cost of a care package for a homeless pet $100

A care package will include food, treats, a bed, toys, a collar, a leash, and any other necessary supplies.

Donate

Pay for one veterinary visit for dog or cat in need $250

Spaying and neutering is one of the most important ways to reduce pet homelessness! Your gift of $250 will go towards procedures like spay/neuter surgeries or emergency visits for illness or injuries.

About the Campaign

The members of the Pets In Need Youth Ambassador Program strive to make a positive impact in reducing pet homelessness. We are passionate teens who are eager to make a difference in our community. As part of this program, we are making meaningful connections with peers and building our leadership skills.

Through this program, we join forces with other local advocates, brainstorm ways that we can support the Pets In Need mission, and work with Pets In Need leaders to carry out our projects.

Our first project is called Feeding Fido.  We have partnered with Paul Crowell and his amazing organization, Project Open Paw.  Paul is a one-man operation where he goes out to homeless encampments and provides food, vaccines, and other needed supplies to the dogs and cats who live in these encampments with their humans.

Paul was inspired to found Project Open Paw when he noticed significant amounts of dog food going to waste at a dog care facility he had previously worked at. He in turn was able to make use of the food by delivering it to encampments to feed many homeless dogs. Unfortunately, as time progressed, that food supply was no longer available, but through donations, his non-profit could persist! Paul Crowell is a hero to the homeless pet community, and the Pets In Need Youth Ambassador Program wants to support him by raising funds that will help feed and vaccinate the animals.
