THE FIRST STATE SQUASH RACQUET 2024




The First State Squash Racquet is back! Get ready for a celebration filled with fierce squash competition and fun with our community. 


First State Squash works with 85 Wilmington middle and high school students, the majority of whom are first-generation college students, and provides participants tuition-free academic and athletic programming starting in fifth grade and continuing through post-secondary graduation. 

The Racquet serves as our largest annual campaign, and enables us to sustain and grow our school-year and summer youth development programs.

The FSS Racquet 

Saturday, June 1st  

Singles - 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Our staple singles squash competition that features 6 squash teams consisting of 4 amateur players, and 1 First State Squash team member. In 2024, each team will committ to raising $10,000 in support of First State Squash programming.

ABOUT FIRST STATE SQUASH 

Founded in 2016, First State Squash is an out-of-school time youth development program serving Wilmington students who attend Title I public or charter schools. 

The organization combines academic tutoring and advisory with squash instruction, leadership development, and community service opportunities. 

FSS team members start with the program in 5th grade and work alongside staff to and through college graduation.
