A Partnership Between The House That Lars Built & Nest

At The House That Lars Built, we believe that when you make things with your hands, you improve your life. So we were thrilled when we discovered the work of the non-profit Nest who unlocks the potential of handcraft to improve the lives of artisans around the world.

From bringing the Gee’s Bend Quilters onto Etsy for the first time to delivering pro-bono business resources to over 1,500 artisan businesses around the world, Nest shares our commitment to create a more beautiful world by supporting makers everywhere who create, design craft and inspire with their hands.

100% of the donations to The Nest That Lars Built will go directly to Nest in support of their Makers United Program supporting capacity building and market access programming for US makers.

At The House That Lars Built, we believe "Artful" is a way of life, it's being deliberate about the things you invite into your life. Nest's work is similarly thoughtful - both in its approach to providing the handworker economy with the targeted resources they need to grow - and through their efforts to preserve important cultural craft traditions around the world.
