About the Virtual Homeless Shelter Benefit
The Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter, a program of Family Service, is a temporary residence for individuals and families who have lost safe and stable housing. The shelter operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Last year, we served 520 people, including 186 children, at the shelter.
Each spring, we have hosted our annual shelter benefit, raising close to $200,000 annually from generous donors and sponsors who recognize the shelter’s role in providing a safe haven for its residents and helping them rebuild their lives. The shelter relies on this event to provide vitally important support for its operations and to ensure essential services for residents throughout the year.
Due to COVID-19, it was necessary to cancel our in-person benefit and transform it into a virtual event. This virtual benefit will enable those who believe in the importance of the shelter to demonstrate their support by making donations at various impact levels. Be sure to review the many ways you can make an impact and transform lives. In addition, please share this page with your family and friends. Your involvement, your compassion and your support is critical to our success. You can play a key role in decreasing homelessness in our community. Thank you for your help and support!

$1,000 helps provide a set of 3 privacy screens, one for each side of a cot (or group of cots for a family) to give residents some privacy in the shelter’s large, open dorm setting.
Where Your Contributions Go

$250 helps provide an evening snack for each child at the shelter for 1 month.
