About the Campaign
Since the Covid-19 crisis began, Worker Justice Wisconsin has ramped up its services to respond to the increased needs of mostly low-wage immigrant workers facing unsafe working conditions, wage theft and mass layoffs. Many of these workers do not qualify for unemployment and will receive little to no financial assistance from the Covid-19 laws.
Our Worker Center (the ONLY one in Wisconsin) has been advocating for workers for over 20 years. We are the primary place for low-wage workers to seek help processing their discrimination and wage complaints in Madison. Since our founding we have recovered well over one million dollars in legally owed but unpaid wages. But during the present crisis we are seeing a drastic increase of workers in need of our help.
We recognize the difficult times everyone is facing right now. But we also know that many people are looking for ways to help our most vulnerable workers during the Covid-19 crisis.
If you have the means to help, please donate as much as you are able to our Worker Justice Unity Fund today. WJW has significantly increased staff hours and added necessary supplies to respond to the urgent need before us. Your contributions will allow us to make sure all workers continue to get the resources and justice they deserve during this crisis!
