Join us for Wheel to Survive, a 6 hour indoor cycling fundraiser to fund programs dedicated to help women battling ovarian cancer today and provide research dollars for a CURE. This inspirational event will be held at the Jewish Community Center on February 23, 2014 from 9AM to 3PM. Our goal is to raise $300,000 and we hope that more than 300 riders, both beginner and seasoned cyclists, will participate in the event with us.
One woman is diagnosed with ovarian cancer every 24 minutes. One woman dies from ovarian cancer every 37 minutes. 7 out of 10 women diagnosed with ovarian cancer will die from the disease. Sadly, there is no reliable early detection test for the disease.
THESE WOMEN ARE OUR MOTHERS, DAUGHTERS, SISTERS AND GIRLFRIENDS AND THEY DESERVE BETTER. WE ALL DESERVE BETTER!
That is why we need your help. The goal of the event is to bring awareness of the disease symptoms, fund programs for women battling ovarian cancer today and provide research dollars for a CURE.
To participate in the event, registration fees are $40 with a minimum fundraising amount of $500 per individual rider. Or, you can form a relay team where each rider has a minimum fundraising requirement of $250 for each rider on the team. Training rides are included with your registration. Registration fees increase to $50 after January 23, 2014.
We hope you will join us for this inspirational and important event on February 23, 2014 and together we will BE THE DIFFERENCE in the fight against ovarian cancer. The time is now.
