Some organizations hold silent auctions, but we're not really the silent type! Over the Edge is an opportunity to push the limits in this thrilling adventure and support the heart of our community.
In partnership with our local sponsors and Over The Edge USA, The Greater Downtown Council is pleased to bring back this off-the-wall fundraiser to Duluth. On July 10th, a limited number of participants will have the chance to go OVER THE EDGE and rappel nine stories from the Sellwood Building on Superior Street. BONUS...you'll have a crowd as it's happening during our annual Sidewalk Days Festival! Donations to this event will build up a zero-interest revolving loan fund to help small business owners in Downtown Duluth invest in refreshed storefronts. Your efforts further assist in the revitalization of our Downtown!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
The Process is Simple: to secure a rope in this thrilling adventure of a lifetime, all you have to do is create a personal fundraising page by selecting the blue button above and raise a minimum of $1,000 to go OVER THE EDGE! We've provided a template for you to create a page; you can customize it with text, pictures, and let people know why you're raising money for such a worthy cause.
Is this an off-the-wall fundraiser? Absolutely- that's the fun of it! This fundraiser is an investment in Duluth's future. Thanks to the event last year, we have provided seed money for a revolving loan program. Currently, three retailers are seeking support from the program to help revitalize their storefronts. We want to keep the momentum going and show that together, we can help the Downtown prosper!
