2024 GALA:
RECLAIMing Our Care
About the Event
We invite you to support the 2024 Gala: RECLAIMing Our Care on November 9, 2024. The event will be held at The 101, an exquisite venue located in the heart of Pioneer Square in Downtown Seattle. This is a fundraising event, all proceeds will go directly to supporting families impacted by incarceration. Dress to impress in your finest attire and mask, and join us for a night of inspiration and solidarity.
RECLAIM was founded in 2005 as University Beyond Bars (UBB) by, and for, incarcerated learners at the Washington State Reformatory in Monroe, WA. Our original goal was to provide access to liberatory education to individuals in Washington prisons so that they have the tools needed to become agents of change in their own lives.
In response to the rapidly changing landscape of prison education, RECLAIM shifted our efforts to expand our reintegration provisions by providing mental, emotional, and relational health support to individuals releasing from prison and their loved ones who are preparing to receive them. Last year, we told you who we are and what we were going to be doing… this year, we are showing you who we are and what we’ve built.
We're raising to support family members impacted by incarceration!
