Jersey Cares MLK Day of Service
Virtual Understanding Homelessness Workshop
Monday, January 20th, 2025 • 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
About the Project
This year, as Jersey Cares remembers the leadership of The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we invite you to join 1,850 volunteers to uphold Dr. King's vision of bringing people of all ages and backgrounds together, strengthening their communities and building a stronger New Jersey.
We're working together to answer "life's most persistent and urgent question...what are you doing for others?"
We have a goal of $9,250 - $5 for every one of our MLK volunteers!
This registration page is for the
Virtual Understanding Homelessness Workshop only!
All volunteers must be at least 14 years old.
Virtual Understanding Homelessness Workshop: Volunteers will learn about homelessness in the United States and the role mental health plays for individuals experiencing homelessness. This workshop will allow teams to participate in a simulation activity and create “You Matter” cards to provide support to individuals from Family Promise of Southwest New Jersey.
Registration for the event is FREE, but volunteers are encouraged to fundraise!
