Virtual Talking About Race in the Classroom: A Training for K-12 Educators Committed to Racial Justice

How are we thinking about, and addressing racism during COVID19 and remote learning?

How do we have conversations about race or racism with our students? How do we ensure racial equity in our classrooms and schools? As educators, how do we use this moment to create school norms, policies and practices that support racial justice?

Center for Racial Justice in Education invites you to participate in a two-day interactive virtual professional development training for educators seeking to deepen their capacity to engage in conversations about race in K-12 educational settings.

Through this training, educators will:

  • Strengthen their analysis of how racism manifests in our schools and classrooms
  • Enhance their understanding of how racism affects children
  • Practice using tools and language to address race and racism in the classroom
  • Gain strategies to support a schoolwide culture of respect, equity, and inclusivity
