Join Teodora Velescu & Lari Giorgescu from Romania in this 90 minute $1 community workshop.
‘Text, Body, Vibration.’
This workshop will have three parts:
- a 20-minute warm-up session based on world-renowned choreographer Gigi Căciuleanu’s method.
- Starting from a literary text, we will use musicality and word play to generate dance vocabulary.
- Presentation of choreographic phrases.
Level: Intermediate/Advanced
This workshop is limited to 20 students. Pairs encouraged.

Battery’s home is a 125-year-old loft building with a stone façade in the Italian fashion. It sits on the Northeast corner of Broadway & White Street, two blocks South of Canal Street. It can be easily recognized by the Nino Mier Gallery that occupies the ground floor of the building and has signage. Our studios are located on the 5th floor (ring buzzer #5).
