About the Event

Join singer-songwriter-guitarist duo Nina Gerber and Chris Webster

for a live benefit concert supporting health care for children

and mothers in Roatán, Honduras.

Chris Webster:

"Webster's is an authoritative voice that manages to make existential angst, romantic confusion and spiritual longing sound uncommonly appealing. Each note she sings conveys a probing, acute sensitivity to the little complications of life and love, with a sexy edge to boot."
—-No Depression Magazine

"Webster's magic derives from those ineffable qualities of vocal grain, emotional nuance, timing and phrasing possessed by the truly great and moving singers of any style."
—- San Francisco Bay Examiner

Nina Gerber:

"The evening's real star... Gerber usually says little and lets her guitar do the talking. She is a not-so-underground legend. Her wide-ranging folk-country-jazz-blues stylings have backed dozens of performers on stage and record."
—- Oakland Tribune

"Remarkable accompanist... A star in her own right... Gerber's contribution is magnificent."
—- San Francisco Examiner

Location:

Polly Klaas Community Theater

417 Western Avenue

Petaluma, CA

This 100-seat gem of a theater, originally built as a church in 1911,

is not only a historic part of Petaluma,

it is also a much-needed performance venue that will serve our youth, and community, for generations to come!

In 1994, this building was dedicated to the memory of 12-year-old

Polly Hannah Klaas, to honor her love of performing.

Show at 7:00 PM

Proceeds from the concert directly benefit the training of local Honduran healthcare providers in collaboration with U.S. clinical professionals,

and will also provide critical medical supplies and medications.

Barb's famous homemade whoopie pies

free for all our generous guests!

A special silent auction will be presented during the benefit.

About the Program

Global Healing's program helps to bridge the gap and meet the critical need for continuing medical education, direct care, and much-needed supplies and technology.

Our medical volunteers teach current best practices in health care. Because of this training, the more than 80,000 families living in Roatán, Honduras are receiving not only life-saving care but care that prevents them from becoming that ill.

Currently, the program addresses three critical medical needs for the population on the island of Roatán:

Access to pediatric outpatient care through the Roatán Volunteer Pediatric Clinic.

Improving the standards of care within the Roatán Public Hospital.

Education of local Honduran healthcare providers and US healthcare volunteers.
