Floatilla CANCELED DUE TO HAZARDOUS WEATHER CONDITIONS

Floatilla Participants - Pleae check your email for details

This year, we’re gettin’ groovy with a far-out '70s theme—so grab your bell bottoms, break out the tie-dye, and paddle into "Saturday Morning Fever."

Floatilla is a 5-mile roundtrip paddle from Canton Waterfront Park to the Inner Harbor. Paddlers are encouraged to let out their inner John Travolta or Donna Summers and dress up for the event, maybe even throw a disco ball on your kayak!

Once we hit the Harbor, the party keeps rolling with a live performance by Cara Kelly & the Tell Tale, floating aboard Baltimore’s very own Mr. Trash Wheel—and this year, they’ll be laying down a set of '70s cover tunes to keep the disco inferno burning!

The Floatilla supports Waterfront Partnership’s Healthy Harbor Initiative, working to make Baltimore’s waterways clean, safe, and swimmable. Fundraise as an individual or part of a team—the top earners will be celebrated at the event.

This righteous event is made possible through the awesome partnership between Waterfront Partnership, Ultimate Watersports and Baltimore City Recreation & Parks.

Peace, paddles, and party vibes—can you dig it?

Volunteer for the Baltimore Floatilla by signing up to be a safety boat, safety paddler, or on land support HERE.

Rentals equipment and on-water safety are provided by Ultimate Watersports.

Age Policy

All participants must be 13 years of age or older by event date. Participants between the ages of 13 and 15 must be accompanied in the same boat by a parent or guardian. Participants between the ages of 16 and 17 may operate their own craft but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the water (in their own vessel is OK).

Have questions about the event or water quality in the Baltimore Harbor? Check out our FAQs page.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

All funds raised by the 2024 Baltimore Floatilla go to support the event as well as the Healthy Harbor Initiative and Maryland Tough Baltimore Strong Fund. We have never had to cancel a Floatilla and we hope we never will. However, If threatening weather conditions force cancellation of the event, registration fees are not refundable. Equipment rental fees, while not refundable, may be applied to rentals at other Ultimate Watersports locations within the same year.

The Baltimore Floatilla is a rain or shine event, however, it will be cancelled by 6:00 A.M. on the morning of the event if there is a small craft advisory or if other weather events make paddling unsafe (thunder, lightning, etc.).

If there is no small craft advisory but the weather is less than ideal, the event will still take place but the route may be shortened to ensure safety. Paddlers will be notified of route changes onsite the morning of the event.
