FIRST FRIDAYS!
Liberation Series 2025
The Elements, Pathways to Possibilities
"Holding our Breath"
About the Event
Held on the First Friday of each month, The Liberation Series are free public events that activate our Bed-Stuy storefront as a hub of artistic expression and community engagement.
Over the course of 2025, The Laundromat Project will explore how Black Quantum Futurism informs collective liberation through creative interpretations of time, space, and memory.

Hold. Release. Hold.
-------------
We are holding our breath. Aware and unaware of the toll that suppressing air has on our systems. Harness the air in our bodies, focus on the shifting winds in our environment, and deepen the work of intergenerational healing. Join arts practitioners and community engagement artists, Wéma Ragophala, Ziedah Diata, and Desiree Gordan as we embody arts praxis in visual art, music, and creative writing to breathe life into nonlinear, cross dimensional liberatory spaces. Release with the tunes from oyasound, DJ Sabine Blaizin.
Join us for conversation, music, vibes, food, artmaking, and community!
