Talking About Race: 

A Training for School-Based Educators and Leaders Committed to Racial Justice

How are we thinking about and addressing racism during COVID-19 & remote learning?

How do we have conversations about race and racism with our students?

How do we ensure racial equity in our classrooms and schools?

As educators, how do we use this moment to create school norms, policies, and practices that support racial justice? 

The Center for Racial Justice in Education invites you to participate in a full-day interactive and virtual professional development training for educators seeking to deepen their capacity to engage in conversations about race in preK-12 educational settings. 

Through this training, educators will:

• Strengthen their analysis of how racism manifests in our schools and classrooms
  
• Enhance their understanding of how racism affects children
  
• Practice using tools and language to address race and racism in the classroom
• Gain strategies to support a schoolwide culture of respect, equity, and inclusivity
