Please note that this is a VIRTUAL event!
About the Campaign
COVID-19 UPDATE
As a health organization, we have been closely monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 developments and one of our highest priorities is the well-being of our volunteers, donors, employees, partners and the people we serve.
Along with our partners, we have made the decision to transition the 2020 Springfield Seize the Day 5K Run/Walk to a VIRTUAL event.
Our mission is still critical and those who are impacted by epilepsy need our support now more than ever, but we know that keeping our community safe is of the utmost importance, as well.
While we will not be able to gather quite as we had hoped in 2020, we invite you all to join us and participate in a virtual race. The great news it that with the event going virtual, you are able to complete the run/walk safely at your convenience and leisure. We encourage you to run/walk in your neighborhood, a local park, or wherever else you're able to safely distance with your family, friends, and team members.
All of those in our community are invited to register and join us to Seize the Day!
As a virtual participant, you will receive:
- the 2020 Springfield Seize the Day t-shirt
- a digital Seize the Day bib for your to wear during your race
Registration is still open if you have other family members or friends who would like to participate. In order to guarantee a t-shirt, participants will need to register by 12:00 PM on Friday, October 23rd.
We sincerely hope that you will join us for our virtual event to raise awareness and funds for epilepsy. Let's show our support for our epilepsy warriors!
Please share your virtual race photos during the month of November (Epilepsy Awareness Month) using #SeizetheDaySGF on your social media accounts and tag the Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri and Kansas.
With heartfelt thanks and gratitude for your relentless support for our mission and those we serve.
About Us
The Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri and Kansas proudly leads the fight to stop seizures, find a cure and overcome the challenges created by epilepsy. Every hour, 20 Americans are diagnosed as having epilepsy. More than twice as many Americans have seizure disorders (epilepsy) as have Parkinson's disease, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and muscular dystrophy combined Yet, none of these well-known diseases carry the powerful stigma associated with epilepsy.
Our event helps raise much needed funds and awareness for epilepsy. This event supports individuals and families in our community who are affected by epilepsy.
We're fundraising for the Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri and Kansas to make a difference!
You can help fundraise for the cause once you register. Or just make a donation.
