About the Campaign
Online registration has been closed for this year's Strides for Stroke. You may register on Saturday, May 18 at any of our Walk locaitons.
Stroke is the leading cause of death and disability in the United States and is a leading cause of death in Minnesota resulting in more than 12,000 hospitalizations in the state each year. Over 97,000 Minnesotans report having had a stroke in their lifetime.
Stroke is also a community made up of families, friends, co-workers, educators, professionals, celebrities and passionate advocates who work to build a world where every stroke is treated in a timely manner and where stroke rates drop, year after year.
If you want to see Minnesota’s stroke community in action, look no further than the Minnesota Stroke Association’s annual Strides for Stroke event. Here, the stroke community honors stroke survivors, walks in solidarity with one another, raises stroke awareness and helps fund programs that benefit Minnesotans who live with the effects of stroke. Strides for Stroke demonstrates that stroke survivors are people with possibilities. The hundreds of survivors, families and supporters walking together paint a beautiful picture of the power of those possibilities.
