About The Convergence

The 3rd Annual Convergence is a local, community-focused conference held on the Pine Ridge rez. Presenters, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous, are invited to come to share their expertise in various topics such as ecological knowledge, mental well-being, Lakota lifeways education, environmental projects, tribal policy, and many more. The goal of the conference is to exhibit experiences and knowledge focused on food sovereignty and food autonomy to understand how a thriving local food system can be developed. Along with some amazing presenters, there will be Lakota-owned food businesses and caterers preparing delicious meals for the conference.

Last year a sketch artist displayed attendees' ideas on Regenerative Agriculture for our community.
