What is Fiesta Bowl 3 on 3 Classic?
Fiesta Bowl 3 on 3 Classic is a pilot event being developed in partnership between Special Olympics Arizona (SOAZ) and Fiesta Bowl. The event will be held April 13-15, 2018 at Westgate Entertainment District, Kellis High School and potentially Copper Canyon High School. The two high schools mentioned will house 5 v 5 basketball; but all other festivals and activities will be held at Westgate. The goal of the event is to engage the community in a new basketball platform, provide a premier basketball stage for Special Olympics athletes and to raise money for Special Olympics Arizona Unified (inclusive) programs through support from Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR).
If delegations choose not to participate in this event, SOAZ will still provide opportunities to those athletes to compete in 3 on 3 basketball. Athletes interested in participating may contact their Area Director to register.
Opening ceremonies for the event will be held on Friday, April 13th at Westgate. Olympic Village will be open Saturday-Sunday, April 14th-15th. Merchandise will be available all three days.
