5th Annual 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk
On Sunday, April 22, we will join as a community to celebrate the strong girls in our community and support them in their endeavors as the future of Pittsburgh. The 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk start and end at the Bartlett Shelter, but wind through the Panther Hollow Trail and Schenley Park (click here to view the course). Please join us and invite your friends on April 22 to support the girls in the Pittsburgh community!
Strong Women, Strong Girls is a nonprofit organization with locations in Pittsburgh and Boston. Six Pittsburgh universities have SWSG chapters. At the University of Pittsburgh, Strong Women, Strong Girls includes approximately 80 college mentors and 140 adolescent girls. Our goal is to inspire, motivate, and empower girls in grades 3-5 in the Pittsburgh community by mentoring with a curriculum that emphasizes female role models. Our annual 5K is our biggest fundraiser, and it benefits the Pitt chapter of SWSG and allows us to provide supplies and materials for our mentees. We cannot thank you all enough for your invaluable support!
