Join the Sustainable Transportation Coalition of Hawai'i (STCH) and Blue Planet Foundation for the second annual Electric Island Drive on September 17, 2017The event is part of the National Drive Electric Week, celebrating a diversity of zero-emissions vehicles and highlighting the environmental, economic, and health benefits of electric transportation.

Participants will gather in small groups at specified locations in urban Honolulu at 11AM (the Post Office (King St & Richards St), the HDOT “Ball Park” Lot (Channel St. & Ala Moana Blvd.) and the Dept of Health Lot (1250 Punchbowl St. at Beretania St.) Participants will be assigned a starting location and contacted with more details after signing up. Vehicles will depart at coordinated times and follow predetermined routes that merge together as one large group to drive through Waikiki and finish at Kapiolani Community College.


The event will culminate in an Electric Vehicle Fair from 12:00-2:00PM in the Kapiolani Community College parking lot. All caravan participants will receive mahalo gift bags and will have a chance to win some exciting door prizes. 

Anyone is welcome to attend the electric vehicle fair, even if they did not participate in the caravan or don't own a zero-emissions vehicle.  Join us to listen to live music, enjoy tasty grinds from local food vendors, learn about electric vehicles from dealerships, see electric vehicle displays, or test out an electric bike!


All full electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle owners are invited to participate in the caravan and can officially join by registering themselves as an "Zero-Emissions Vehicle Driver". You will receive confirmation of your registration via email. You can expect further information including meeting locations, departure times, route, and other event logistics and information as the event approaches.

No tickets are needed to attend the Electric Vehicle Fair and all are welcome!
