Help us reach our goal: iPad Pros for Swift Playgrounds at App Camp For Girls!
Indie developers need to work together to thrive in the maturing Apple ecosystem. It’s in our best interest to support the community and its efforts to provide a bright future for everyone who wants to participate.
That’s why Release Notes has once again named App Camp for Girls as its official non-profit organization partner for 2016.
App Camp For Girls is a place where girls can put their creative powers to work, designing and building apps, while learning more about the business of software and being inspired by role models in the industry.
During our conference, we will be accepting donations for App Camp for Girls. Guests will be able to donate at the conference, and a link will be available to accept online donations from those who cannot join us in person.
For every dollar we collect via the Release Notes campaign, Charles and Joe will match that donation, up to $1,000. Last year we raised over $7000 together, enough to buy 24 iPod touches for this incredible program which will have six locations in 2017. This year, our goal is to raise enough for a set of iPad Pros and Apple Pencils, so that the girls can learn from Swift Playgrounds for iPad and design their app artwork. A set of 12 iPad Pros + Pencils will cost approximately $8500.
App Camp For Girls is excited about bring Apple's fantastic new tools, both hardware and software, to the 2017 camps. Let's help them make it possible.
