Created by Forward Performing Arts & the Madison Scouts, The Mad Dash 5K was started to support and promote a healthy lifestyle and fitness in our nation's youth, with particular focus toward those young people participating in high school marching bands, color guards, and drum lines. Proceeds raised through the Mad Dash 5K will be used to advance health & wellness initiatives in the marching arts through practice and a series of educational clinics.

Proceeds from the Dallas event will also support the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra.

The 2017 Dallas Mad Dash 5K is a chip timed run/walk through beautiful Frisco Commons Park in Frisco, TX. The scenic course winds through densely wooded areas and along a large pond, and consists of paved trails throughout. Participants will begin at the large pavilion/Veteran’s Memorial near the park entrance and complete 3 full laps around the outer trail loop before returning to the start/finish line.

The registration fee includes a Mad Dash t-shirt (NOTE: Shirt not guaranteed if registered after April 6, 2017)  and official chip timing for all participants.  All finishers will receive the commemorative Mad Dash Dog Tag and the satisfaction of knowing they have supported music education on a local and national level!

NOTE:  Participants must register before April 7, 2017 to be guaranteed a #RunLikeMad T-shirt.  The event will accommodate as many people as possible after that date, however, there is no guarantee race shirts will be available after the order date.

Awards will be presented for the top 3 male and female overall finishers, as well as age groups 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+.
