When I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in Nov. 2012, I had no idea what I was in for.  All I knew is that it was going to be a long, hard road to health.

Since that time, I've completed two rounds of chemo, major surgery, and more ups and downs then I could have imagined.  All of these emotional highs and lows were exacerbated by raising two small children through the process.

Thankfully, True North Treks gave me the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of spending a week canoeing on Utah's Green River right after I finished treatment... at no cost.  To say this is a blessing is an understatement.

Cancer treatment sapped me of all of my reserves, leaving me at times wondering how I'd make it through treatment.  To spend a week in a beautiful location practicing meditation and healing with people who intrinsically  "get" what I've been through is the greatest gift I could have asked for.

Now I'm asking for your help so I can "pay it forward" to a cancer survivor who will follow me at a later date on a different adventure.  I am able to go to Utah in Oct. 2013 thanks to the generosity of numerous donors who have given on behalf of their loved ones.  YOU now have the chance to help a cancer survivor just like me have a week of healing when they need it most.

Thank you so much for your support in helping me reach my fundraising goal...whether it's a few bucks or more... and please consider sharing this page with your friends!

XOXO
