I suffered a TBI October 17, 2001. I was busy doing demolition on a newly leased building that would become an awesome indoor skatepark when I made the mistake of multi-tasking on the tippity-top of a ladder (two feet above where it says not to stand).  I fell on my head and fractured my skull.  Luckily someone was with me and heard me scream, I would have bled to death.  The ambulance came and transported me to Fletcher Allen Health Care for care and medically induced me into a coma to control the amount of swelling from my brain.  I was later moved for all different sorts of therapy and rehabilitation at Fanny Allen.  Now, over 13 years as co-owner and manager at Talent Skatepark and Shop, Inc. I have become a fixture on the local skateboard and snowboard scene.  I am active outside work, playing in the snow, getting out with my friends and family, and even teaching Zumba® classes! I host camps and clinics at Talent, and speak frankly about my TBI to skaters and parents in the hopes of raising awareness.  I am a proud supporter of the Kevin Pearce Foundation and sell "Love Your Brain" gear at the skatepark.  I am thrilled to attend my second year at LoveYourBrain camp and run as a BRAINFARMER in the Vermont City Marathon on May 24!  Everyday is beautiful, everyday I am thankful, and I continue to survive and thrive.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page, set up to support:

A gathering with an extraordinary group of TBI survivors, athletes, speakers, neurologists, nutritionists, and yoga and mediation teachers, located at Zeno Mountain Farm in the beautiful mountains of northeastern Vermont.

The Camp is designed to be inspiring and fun. We want to create a healthy environment where people form new relationships, learn about new healing techniques, and are more mindful in their daily choices. Days will consist of daily mediation and yoga sessions, training and participating in the marathon, a speaker series, music, movies, sporting events, and inspiring family style feasts.

Please help me support Zeno Mountain Farm by making a donation through my page. The process is fast, easy and secure. Thanks so much for your support... and please dont forget to send this page to any friends you think might be interested in donating! Buckle Your Helmet. LoveYourBrain.
